Vote Remedy Market & Pigtail Brands Big Ed’s Heirloom BBQ Sauce Saturday in the Rub My Rib Cookoff hosted by Charleston Scene

Pigtail Brands Barbecue Sauces & Marinades will be teaming up with The Remedy Market on Spring to compete in this Rub My Rib! Competition hosted by Charleston Scene using Big Ed’s Heirloom Barbecue Sauce this coming Saturday 9-17-2011 held at the Charleston Maritime Center, 10 Wharfside St. Come out, be sure to try out our delicious bbq ribs and vote for us if you think it is the best.

There is also a contest going on where entrants were to come up with a favorite story of why they should be chosen as a guest cook in the event & the cook with the most votes will represent Charleston Scene in the Rub My Rib! competition against area restaurant chefs. He or she will cook 1,000 ribs from 4-8 p.m. The deadline for voting is noon on Wednesday and the winner will be announced in Charleston Scene Thursday morning. We have tested out the goods of one James Lipp before and his mastering on the grille so #8 is our pick for this. You can get more information on the contest and voting here and go here for the direct link to vote for #8 James Lipp. Please also note that this event will benefit Communities in Schools by helping at-risk youth to remain in school. We hope everyone is enjoying Charleston Restaurant Week and gearing up for the BB&T Charleston Wine And Food Festival?

Update 9.16.2011: We are also proud to announce that our friend & grillmaster James Lipp (follow him on twitter) has in fact won the amateur write in vote with the Charleston Scene and will be competing this Saturday with Big Ed’s Heirloom BBQ Sauce from Pigtail Brands. Good luck James & make us proud! Get the crowd saucy!!!
