Event: South Carolina Specialty Food Association Buyers’ Market September 12th, 2011

COLUMBIA, S.C., August 22, 2011– We are proud members of the South Carolina Specialty Food Association (SCSFA) and just wanted to give you a heads up that we will be attending this event if you are interested in talking to us about carrying our product in your store. The South Carolina Specialty Food Association (SCSFA) will host a Buyers’ Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2011, at the Phillips Market Center, 3501 Charleston Hwy., West Columbia, S.C. of which Pigtail Brands Barbecue Sauces & Marinades will be in attendance with a vending booth so stop by and try out some Big Ed’s Heirloom BBQ Sauce if you are a buyer in the specialty foods/retail or grocery markets. Unfortunately, this event is only open to buyers and not the general public but there will be more events in the future like that you will be able to attend.

Retailers, restaurateurs, foodservice companies or any person involved in the procurement of South Carolinaproducts is invited to attend. At this inaugural event, buyers will have the opportunity to meet over 45 South Carolina Specialty Food entrepreneurs and taste their exceptional products.

All buyers attending the one-stop-taste-and-shop event will be entered to win a South Carolina Specialty Food gift basket, dinner with Commissioner Hugh Weathers at the Oyster Bar, and tour of the new South Carolina State Farmers Market.

The South Carolina Specialty Food Association is the only statewide organization dedicated to promoting the best specialty food products available in thePalmettoState. As specialty food sales continue to climb at the national level, SCSFA is evolving to meet the growing needs of its members. The non-profit association strives to further the development and awareness of theSouth Carolinaspecialty foods industry through education, networking, peer support/mentoring, promotions and much more. Whether farmer, producer or retailer, the Specialty Food Association is a great resource for industry news, trends and opportunities.
